Batch No.16. is all set to release & all set to put a fire at the BO. From a tea boy to the actors involved, everybody seems, to have walking with equal enthusiasm in Silence Entertainment. No wonder, they have a reason to smile. The reason behind all the excitements and the enthusiasms, is very hard to get in touch for a rendezvous, but Bikrant Kimo Shrestha (producer of BATCH NO.16), finally gave a nod to me and this is what i came up with. ENJOY!
How did the idea of collaboration of u three (Suren, Pitamber and Bikrant) come?
Well, Pitamber being a very old friend of mine , & Mr. Surendra being a friend of Pitamber- we sat together , and started talking about our ideas and slowly everything started falling into places, so here we are -- trying to build up something different in this otherwise monotonous country.
What prompted you to start a production company while many are already on
shutting down spree ?
Hmm.. i have lot more other plans rather then making only movies. So I'm mentally prepare for anything worse. There is a big part that Silence Entertainment does for a Music scene in Nepal. We have every year going Silence Festival that brings national and international band together in one place.There is a well-facilitated recording studio that helps to bring out the best quality recording in Nepal. There is a production part that looks for the best bands in Nepal and helps them to promote & produce their albums. Actually, I've envisioned this company to compete with the changing of time. So, I'm a game for it.
B:16 is few weeks far to release, Tell us, What's your state of mind now ?
I am relaxed and totally positive about the release of my movie. I am amazed the way people are sharing their excitement .Everyone is kind of waiting for the movie. That's something, and it feels like a last man show. You know what i mean!
Though the promos look promising, a bit of trade thinks the film
looks heavy for traditional paying public. Comment.
Not at all. This is a movie for everyone. This is by the people and for the people. Even traditional paying people are waiting for some big changes in Nepali movie scene and i am for sure that those people will like it. Actually, they will love it.. We, in Silence, don't care what others say. We only listen to the public opinion, & i believe that's what counts at the end of the day.
Earlier your film was slated to release on 13th Falgun, now it has pushed to 20th. How much does this release shift affect you ?
That's just a shift in schedule and that was for the betterment of the movie. Rather u have more time to promote & this way people will get know more about the movie.
It's being speculated, there are some trade people who want to see Silence film company and B:16 fail. Comment.
No comment at all. We are positive and honest about what we are up-to.
But hey, do you not panic ? or Do you just cover your tracks more carefully ?
We see that in different light. Hmm...It's all about business, you know. If we panic, we will be nowhere. It's part of a game, we are here to make some good stuff and to promote entertainment sector, so we do just work on that..
Hypothetically speaking, though, you could challenge any other
companies in regard of its infrastructure, what made you to talk
silence while other believe in aggressive PR ?
That's what SILENCE is all about...SILENCE speaks.. you don't need to promote good stuff. It does automatically. It's all about having a good relationship with the people around you,and help people in need.That's my PR,and it's enough i guess.
What is the most basic and urgent change required in the Nepali film industry?
There are lots of stuff. One is distribution...
Some cinema culture you've learnt worst in this industry over this

People talk without having any issues and reasons... and i hate that.. Privacy is very important in our life..
